Developed mock creative campaign for Barkley x Motel 6 via The 4A’s MAIP Fellowship 2023 Competition (WINNER)
THE CHALLENGE
Realign Motel 6 with the roots of music festival history— an opportunity for discovery and connection— while strengthening brand perception amongst their Gen Z and Millenial audience.
THE STRATEGY
After conducting qualitative research of festival history and counterculture stemming back to Woodstock 1969, I discovered a way to leverage the frugality associated with motels. There is a unique charm in a no-frills yet reliable lodging accommodation, especially when it revolves around a deeper experience– in this case, a shared celebration of music, art, and community. For a younger, budget-conscious audience, we not only offered a more accessible and affordable option, but also a vibe.
RESULTS
Won a national student competition. Received a swag box of Motel 6 merch.
